Ran Stark, M.D. is double board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He completed over 10 years of training after graduating from medical school, culminating with his one-year Aesthetic Surgery fellowship endorsed by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with Dr. Louis P. Bucky.
Dr. Stark, a Philadelphia-area native, received his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Delaware, where he graduated summa cum laude. He completed his medical studies at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University, where he was awarded the Hillel Nathan Award for Academic Excellence in Anatomy, as well as the Sackler Award of Academic Excellence, given only to the valedictorian of each graduating class.
Pursuing his passion for surgery, Dr. Stark completed six years of general surgery training at the Morristown Medical Center. He was appointed Administrative Chief Resident during his final year and received the prestigious Hughs D. Dougan, M.D. Award for exemplary devotion to patient care, attention to detail, and excellence in surgical technique.
Dr. Stark went on to complete his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, one of the nation’s top training program in its field. This gave Dr. Stark the opportunity to be mentored by and to work side by side with some of the world’s most innovative and acclaimed plastic surgeons. This also laid the groundwork for his aesthetic surgery fellowship during which he was privileged to be able to participate in over 1,000 cosmetic surgeries. He has co-authored numerous textbook portions and articles and has been chosen to present his work at regional and national conferences.
Dr. Stark currently holds a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Surgery. He brings a unique interest in plastic surgery focusing on breast surgery, including breast augmentation and breasts lifts; body contouring surgery, liposuction and facial surgery, including facelift and rhinoplasty; His steadfast dedication and affinity to cutting-edge research and techniques allows him to create the very best aesthetic outcomes in the safest manner possible.
His patients rave about his caring nature and bedside manner. He has restored confidence to so many patients and strives to continue to do so in the most professional, yet personable manner.
