Meet Dr. Lisa Jewell
Dr. Lisa L. Jewell is a board-certified female plastic surgeon at South Bay Plastic Surgeons in Torrance, CA. Recognized by Los Angeles Magazine as one of “L.A.’s Best Doctors” every year since 2017, she has trained extensively in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, enabling her to handle both common and complex cases with confidence. Dr. Jewell specializes in breast augmentation, breast augmentation revision, breast lift, breast reduction, and tummy tuck procedures, pairing her refined surgical skills with a patient-centered approach.
A native Californian, Dr. Jewell earned a bachelor’s degree in physiology at the University of California, Davis, before completing her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. After a rigorous six-year residency in general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California, she continued her affiliations with USC and City of Hope—one of only 53 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country. During this period, she served as a voluntary clinical faculty member at USC and further honed her breast reconstruction and microsurgery expertise as a consulting physician at City of Hope. Dr. Jewell also established private practices in Santa Monica and the South Bay, ultimately choosing in 2009 to focus exclusively on the South Bay, where she lives with her husband and two young sons.

It’s been a year and I can say with absolutely confidence, Dr.Jewell is an icon. I did a breast augmentation back in November 2021 and I love the results! The office is very modern, warm, and friendly. The whole process went very smoothly and I couldn’t be happier. I wanted something that looked natural and fit my body type, I didn’t like the shape of breasts or their position. She provided me with a lot options and information. During the consultation she informed me about something called a “donut lift” to help with my shape concerns in conjunction with implants. Her private surgery center is beautiful and everyone who assisted me on surgery day was so friendly and made me very comfy. I would choose this method over a hospital any day. It seemed like a blink in time. Recovery was a breeze, I was so worried about pain and discomfort but there was none! Other than some limited mobility with lifting for about a month I was able to do basically anything. I did it the Monday before thanksgiving and by Thursday I was at a family thanksgiving dinner, with lots of energy. Follow up’s were always quick and informative. She provided a lot of helpful healing tips and ways to prevent scaring. I only have a very small tiny scar post surgery, which is so nice ! Now that they’ve settled I’m so happy with my choice to do surgery and for choosing Lisa Jewell! Thanks so much!

I had a breast reduction about a year ago with Dr. Jewell and I could not be happier with my results! My breasts were large, I did not like the shape of them, and I had hated them since they arrived when I was in the fourth grade. I had back pain as they were heavy and it was difficult to work out with them as well. I had wanted to do this procedure for years but unfortunately, it was not a covered benefit with my insurance. Ultimately, I decided to move forward with the procedure cosmetically and after seeing a few physicians, decided on Dr. Jewell. She came highly recommended by someone who had worked with her at Torrance Memorial. She is obviously highly educated and a board certified plastic surgeon, but it was truly her bedside manner that sold me. After meeting her, I felt an instant connection and wanted her to be my friend/neighbor. I felt she was thorough in our consultation and understood my goals and aesthetic. My surgery went amazing and I was surprised at how little pain I truly had. I had drains (which are annoying but no big deal) and was able to go to class a few days after surgery as I am a college student and couldn't miss any more time. My scars healed beautifully and I have the breasts I always dreamed of thanks to South Bay Plastic Surgeons. My experience with Dr. Jewell and her staff was amazing. Everyone in that office is kind and a true professional who goes above and beyond for their patients. I cannot thank Dr. Jewell enough! She helped me feel confident and you simply cannot put a price tag on that :)
I came to Dr. Jewell for an explant of my breast implants that were put in by another doctor post mastectomy. The job she did on the surgery was fantastic- I am so happy with how it looks. She is always prompt and professional. The office staff is also excellent.
Dr. Jewell is the best!!! After 37 years, I decided it was time to replace my hardened breast implants. Dr. Jewell explained to me the necessary tedious and delicate surgery. I was nervous, but she put me at ease and I fully trusted her. The day of surgery I came to their new center, everybody was so nice, caring and took excellent care of me. Dr. Jewell did fantastic work on me and I absolutely love my new breasts!!
It’s been a year since Dr Jewell performed my thigh lift surgery. I have always been so happy with my surgery and have told friends how it was such a positive experience and such an easy recovery. Having the thigh lift truly changed my life for the better, significantly improving my self esteem. Dr. Lisa Jewells is one of the best surgeons I've met in the Southbay. I am so happy with her work. I had a breast lift a few years ago with a surgeon in Torrance which left my breast so ugly with huge scars. The work he did on me left me emotionally and physically scarred. My body means so much to me and i was so happy i was highly recommended to Dr. Jewells. She's definitely the best surgeon and very professional with her work. She explains everything in detail and makes you feel very comfortable. Aside of that her work is amazing!! I cant wait until i heal 100%. Its been a few weeks that she did reconstruction on my breast and i can already see progress. If i could i would give her a 10!! for her work. Thank you Dr. Jewell. I can't say enough about Dr. Jewell and the staff at South Bay Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Jewell is definitely skilled at what she does and the staff was absolutely sweet and welcoming. Dr. Jewell performed a breast augmentation/lift in November of 2018 and I absolutely love my results!! Dr. Jewell is always very professional and accommodating. I still see her periodically for check-ups and she takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers all my questions. I never leave an appointment feeling uninformed. Dr. Jewell performed a tummy tuck, muscle repair and liposuction for me about a year ago. I'm so happy with the result! What an amazing experience working with her AND her staff! She is amazing! If you're on the fence, I encourage you to go consult with Dr. Jewell. Her level of professionalism and her depth of knowledge, is unlike anyone else. I consulted with several other surgeons and she is simply the best. It's like she's performing surgery on her own body......that's how concerned she is about her patients.
