Breast lift
Breast AugmentationMember Response:
It is hard to say without an examination why you would need a lift. There are several possibilities including the descent of the breast tissue over the implant. I would recommend asking your surgeon for more clarification on why he suggested a lift for you. If you're not happy with the answer, then seek out a consultation with another surgeon using the Find A Surgeon feature on this site.
Are jaw/cheek implants what I need
Facial ImplantsMember Response:
It really depends. It is hard to know from your description. There are many options from chin implants, to moving your chin (genioplasty), to breaking your jaw and repositioning it. It may be as simple as liposuction of your neck to help tighten the neck. It is best to use this site to find a few Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in your area and seek out a personal consultation.
Who does the V-Y lip advancement procedure
Lip Augmentation/EnhancementMember Response:
You are correct, the VY lip procedure can yield very nice results. There are several different options for lip procedures and since the advent of fillers, I think many Plastic Surgeons are not trained in the procedure. Have you seen Plastic Surgeons in your area or are you just speaking to office staff about whether or not the V-Y is done? If the Plastic Surgeon is telling you no, then ask why or what alternatives they would suggest. I would recommend seeking out more experienced Plastic Surgeons (i.e. Older). If you are having difficulty in Austin, and don't mind traveling to San Antonio then give my office a call I have experience with the procedure.
Have Implants, Can I have a lift and keep my implants
Breast LiftMember Response:
Usually, the present implants can be saved and a lift alone performed. It is best to see a few Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in your area to get an idea of what is involved. Costs will vary by the amount of work that needs to be done.
Tiny breast
Breast AugmentationMember Response:
I wouldn't focus on brands of implants. Rather, focus on choosing the right Plastic Surgeon for you. Look for surgeons who use a variety of implants and will sit down and figure out your goals and desires. Then, ask your surgeon which brand or type of implant they would recommend for you. Hope that helps.
Tummy tuck after 5 kids
Tummy TuckMember Response:
Thanks for your question. You are on the right website for learning about your procedure. From your description, you seem to be a candidate for a Tummy Tuck, but usually, after losing 100#, people need more than just a TT. I would recommend using the Plastic Surgeon finder on this site to choose 3 Plastic Surgeons to consult with. The questions you have are best addressed with an in-person consultation and examination.
I Still look Pregnant but I am not
Tummy TuckMember Response:
Sorry to hear that you did not get the result you expected from the Hysterectomy. There are several things that could be giving you the full appearance. You could have widely separated rectus muscles (diastasis), extra skin, or a thick layer of fat. Each one of these causes require different treatments and only an in-person exam can determine which is the culprit. I would recommend you use this site to find a few Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in your area and visit with 2 or 3 to get their opinions. From your description, it sounds like a problem that can be fixed!
