Huge Mass Underneath Stomach

Panniculectomy

Member Response:

Look up plastic surgeon I. Your area or if you are trying to have insurance cover it you would likely need to go to an academic center. Also will depend on health status and bmi.

Post Breast Augmentation Pain

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

3 weeks is short time. I do suggest doing massage. Sometimes the dominant side will be tighter if you use that arm and muscle may also be larger on affected side. Over the next few weeks this should subside. I do recommend massage and talking to your surgeon.

Shy/Nervous about initial appointment

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Breast exam is usually short we take some measurements using a measuring tape and sometimes we may obtain photos on first visit. I would see the plastic surgeon and get to feel comfortable with them. I only do exams and have patients change into a robe after we have talked and patient understands the procedure and is comfortable with moving forward. Breast reduction patients are some of the happiest patients because it improves the patients confidence and quality of life. I would say do some breathing exercises to get you into a relaxed state.

Uneven breast after lift

Breast Lift

Member Response:

It’s too early to tell. Will take 6 months for the breast to settle out and take shape and all swelling to be gone. It’s also tough to say anything about the nipples until the steri strips are off. The results look great I think you just need to wait.

can I get the non surgical nose job(filler/injection) before getting an actual rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty

Member Response:

It will not affect the rhinoplasty. It may make it harder with scarring but an experienced plastic surgeon can usually do a great job with the rhinoplasty. The non surgical rhino you have to worry about potential complications. Also you may not be a candidate for non surgical because it might not be able to achieve your outcome.

Indented Lip/Vermilion Border Scar

Cleft Lip and Palate Repair

Member Response:

Tough to tell with such a close up. 2 months is very early especially because kids can grow out of this.

Any hope for unsatisfied lower blepharoplasty? (surgical or non)

Eyelid Surgery

Member Response:

Yes small amount of fat grafting can fix the issues you are experiencing.

High BMI

Liposuction

Member Response:

Gastric bypass is not for everyone but instead of spending money on surgeries that you most likely won’t be happy with and risk your life is not a good idea. I would suggest trying one of the weightloss medications suck as ozempic or mounjaro which can help reduce the weight and then you can have surgery with less risk and better cosmetic outcomes.

DIEP Flap is red

DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction

Member Response:

More worrisome is the mastectomy flap but the DIEP flap also looks somewhat red and swollen. The surgeon has seen it and seen its progression but I would be in touch with them because you may need to be seen earlier.

Does chin implant cause loss of cheek volume?

Chin Surgery

Member Response:

It should not cause loss of cheek volume. You are smiling in the before pick so that can raise your cheeks and make them look fuller. Did you just have chin implant or was there anything else done?

How I get deemed medically necessary for a reduction

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

It’s dependent on size and shape of breast and how much could be removed to give you relief. Different insurance companies have different requirements. These findings are a great start and your plastic surgeon can further discuss other findings to aid. Some insurance companies require that you have tried nonoperative therapies without any help such as physical therapy, nsaids , and supportive bras.

Pictures would be helpful. Sounds like you need a lift but possibly also fat grafting or new implants.

Breast Reduction Effects on Breast Feeding.

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Great question as I do most breast rec Suctions on patients of childbearing age. The technique used I very important on effects on breast feeding. I almost never use free nipple grafts but that technique would definitely result in not being able to breast feed. The other techniques we can’t predict. In normal population 1/3 breast feed , 1/3 don’t breast feed, 1/3 can’t breast feed

Is this surgery possible for patient who takes warfarin due to AVR?

Calf Augmentation

Member Response:

I think working closely with cardiologist and hematologist it can be done.

Breast Lift

Member Response:

It is tough to say with these pictures. But most likely as the breast fall into place they should go away.

Platysmal band contracture

Neck Lift

Member Response:

I usually have my patients get neck massages to decrease swelling and soften the scarring. Can’t tell if the bands were cut but I think so you could use some Botox for the rest of platysmal bands. I sometimes use a suture or needle to break them up if someone has had neck lift already.

Full-Thickness Skin Graft Revision?

Burn Reconstruction

Member Response:

You could try some microneedling or dermabrassion to smoothen it out. The discoloration likely will not improve.
