International Women Plastic Surgeons Forum
The International Women Plastic Surgeons (IWPS) Forum is dedicated to the strategic organization of women leaders within the field of plastic surgery to create and maintain an environment that recognizes, cultivates and utilizes the talent of its community.
IWPS aims to facilitate networking and communication between women plastic surgeons throughout the year and develop programs and opportunities targeted to women that develop leadership competencies.
A Message From the Chair
As Chair of the IWPS Forum, I will strive to promote gender equality and women empowerment in the field of plastic surgery, as well as counter misogyny and any other hindrance women face in this profession.
Main Objectives
- Early Engagement of Female Plastic Surgeons in Residency Programs: We shall increase the involvement of female plastic surgeons in the plastic surgery residency programs by offering mentorship, resources and networking opportunities.
- Educational Supportive Webinars: We will organize public events such as webinars, podcasts, workshops, etc., to raise awareness on important issues and topics.
- Work-Life Balance: We shall launch support programs and innovative company policies in order to promote a better work-life balance for female plastic surgeons, especially when handling family responsibilities traditionally bore by women.
