Tummy Tuck | Case Details
A mother of 3 in her early 30's was bothered by bulging of her abdomen after children as well as a deflated appearance of her breasts. She is shown before and again 7 months after an abdominoplasty with an umbilical "float" combined with a vertical mastopexy (breast lift) and high profile 350 cc. round smooth silicone gel implants. Because her umbilicus is relatively high at 15 cm from her pubis and her upper abdomen is not loose, the umbilicus can be detached from the abdominal wall and "floated" down slightly to a lower but still normal appearing location. This avoids a potentially visible scar around the umbilicus and she is left with a scar that is at the level of her csection scar. Although her scars are still slightly red at 7 months, they will continue to fade and improve over the next year and a half.
