Breast Augmentation | Case Details
Although this mom of 2 successfully lost a significant amount of weight with bariatric surgery, and kept the weight off with her new healthy lifestyle that included a balanced diet and exercise, the deflated appearance of her breasts made it difficult to fully enjoy her new figure. She came to see me for a consultation to discuss options to restore fullness to her chest. At 5'8, 162 lbs, she desired an implant size and profile that would flatter, but not overwhelm her figure. She is seen here before and 7 weeks after surgery. To achieve her goals without the use of any breast lift incisions, I used 605cc full profile implants with a dual-plane placement. Dual-plane breast augmentation involves placing the implant partly under the pectoral muscle and partly under the breast tissue, providing improved support, reducing the risk of bottoming out, enhancing coverage for a natural appearance, and potentially lowering the risk of capsular contracture, making it a versatile technique for addressing breast ptosis. As with all breast augmentations I perform, the Keller Funnel technique was used to keep incisions as small and inconspicuous as a possible.
