10 years prior to coming in for a consultation, this patient had lost 60-70 pounds following lap-band surgery. The excess skin left behind made it difficult to fully enjoy the results of her new healthier lifestyle in Houston, TX. At her consultation, she noted that her breasts now covered her abdomen which further masked the visible success of her weight loss. To achieve the results seen here at her 3 month follow-up visit, I performed an inferior-pedicle breast reduction and tummy tuck. To help minimize discomfort and downtime, I performed her abdominoplasty without muscle plication. The weight of the resected tissue from the abdominal wall was 1586 grams (approx 3.5 lbs). The weight of the excised tissue from the right breast was 544 grams (approx 1.2 lbs), and from the left it was 662 grams (approx. 1.5lbs)  as the left breast was slightly larger than the right.
