Breast Reconstruction | Case Details

Patient is a 47 year old female who was treated for breast cancer with bilateral mastectomies. Patient underwent reconstruction with bilateral DIEP flaps followed by silicone gel implants placed under the flaps.

Type of Cancer: invasive ductal carcinoma

Timing relative to Adjunct Therapy: delayed

Timing of placement of permanent implant: delayed

Time after pictures were taken postoperatively: 1 year

Age: 47

Site of Cancer: Left Breast

Reconstructive Timing: Delayed

Type of implant: Silicone

Autogenous Tissue: Free DIEP
