Arm Lift | Case Details
This patient in her early fifties came to the office to discuss options for rejuvenating her arms. She is a post gastric bypass patient - having lost, and kept off, a significant amount of weight. The excess skin on her arms was her main concern after the weight loss. As an active mother and grandmother, she felt that it was getting in the way of every day activities with her family. It also affected the way that she saw herself in clothing. She would only purchase tops and shirts that covered her arms , leaving them too large and not complimenting her midsection. Dr. Connors recommended a staged procedure. The first stage was a Laser Assisted Liposuction procedure (Smartlipo). He did this to help "debulk" the arms and allow the laser to help tighten the skin as much as possible. After giving optimal healing time, this patient was excited to see the progress, but very eager to go to the next step. In the second stage, Dr. Connors performed a brachioplasty to remove the loose, excess skin. The patient no longer feels held back when participating in any activity she enjoys - exercising, playing with her grandkids, riding her motorcycle, or traveling. She now has the confidence to wear short sleeves and tank tops. She is thrilled with her results and couldn't be happier!
