Tummy Tuck | Case Details
This is a 41-year-old man who had lost over 80 pounds in his 20s through diet and exercise. To best address his goals and concerns regarding loose skin following weight loss, I performed 360 liposuction with a belt lipectomy. In contrast to a traditional tummy tuck which primarily addresses loose skin in the front abdominal area, a belt lipectomy removes skin 360 degrees around the torso to address excess skin around the waist or “belt line.” At 6’3, 235 lbs, he presented with a short torso so incisions were placed strategically to still make them as low as possible, allowing them to be easily camouflaged in swimwear. Using VASER assisted liposuction, a total of 4600ccs of volume were removed from his abdomen, flanks, and back. 1063 grams of excess abdominal tissue were removed with an additional 545grams of excess skin and tissue removed from his back (approximately 3.5lbs in total). Is transformation was completed with radio-frequency assisted skin tightening along his flanks to help create a masculine-looking contour. He is seen here before and 9 months after his procedure.
