This patient in her late twenties came to the office to discuss concerns with her midsection - her lower abdomen and waist, specifically. Though she eats healthy and exercises very regularly (she's a tri-athlete!!) she felt that she held excess weight and fat cells in her lower abdomen and waist. She expressed to Dr. Connors that this seemed to be a family trait and that no matter her diet and activity level, she could not seem to get the midsection she desired. Dr. Connors recommended a laser assisted liposuction (Smartlipo) technique to remove the excess fat cells. In order to slightly reduce the recovery time, Dr. Connors also recommended that he do this procedure under a twilight sedation as opposed to general anesthesia. During the procedure Dr. Connors removed the excess fat cells (focusing heavily on her lower abdomen and waist) and contoured her midsection. Since her procedure, the patient got married (and looked STUNNING), met her goal of wearing a two-piece in her latest triathlon, and also won her age group!
