ALPHAEON Corporation Announces Support of the Plastic Surgery Foundation, as a Gold Sponsor of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign
IRVINE, Calif. and BOSTON - ALPHAEON Corporation, a leader in lifestyle healthcare social commerce, today announced its support as a Gold sponsor for the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign of The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF).
The ALPHAEON gift will support the breast reconstruction awareness campaign to raise awareness about the need, through outreach, to educate women on their breast reconstruction options, and provide funds to organizations who provide charity care.
Breast reconstructive surgery can often accelerate the physical and emotional recovery from breast cancer. However, women with a financial need may not be aware of the full spectrum of possible treatments once they are diagnosed with breast cancer.
"Uninsured and underinsured women diagnosed with breast cancer are often unaware of post-mastectomy reconstructive options," said Nicholas B. Vedder, MD, FACS, president of The Plastic Surgery Foundation. "ALPHAEON shares the goal of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign, to help women gain access to vital health care services they may otherwise be unable to afford and we're proud to have them as a partner."
"ALPHAEON is a company of doctors, for patients," said Bob Rhatigan, President and COO of ALPHAEON corporation. We are proud to support such a worthy cause that empowers women by arming them with the education and resources they need to make the best decisions for their health and well-being."
