Meet Dr. Tommaso Addona
Tommaso Addona, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon and President of New York Plastic Surgical Group, a Division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC (NYPS Group). Dr. Addona, who joined NYPS Group in 2009 and became a partner in 2011, also serves as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, NY. Dr. Addona’s extensive education and training began at Binghamton University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude before earning his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which he completed with Honors in Plastic Surgery Research. He went on to complete a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and received advanced Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Addona specializes in breast reconstruction for patients recovering from cancer, and he is experienced in advanced microvascular techniques. He is also skilled in a full spectrum of cosmetic surgery, including facial procedures, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty. In addition to his surgical accomplishments, Dr. Addonahas published research on a range of plastic surgery topics, is a regular contributor at the annual Breast Cancer Summit on Long Island, has participated in charitable medical missions abroad, and is a member of the Board of Directors of ReSurge International.
