Full or mini TT or other options?

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

Since you have loose skin above your belly button, a fully tummy tuck may be better for you. With so much weight loss, a body lift is also an option. An in person assessment is best.

Consultation

Male Breast Reduction

Member Response:

I have availability for a consultation and in most cases can do gynecomastia surgery as an awake procedure with a local anesthetic.

Age Requirement

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Age alone will not exclude her from having a breast reduction. However, a discussion with a plastic surgeon and the pros and cons of surgery is the first step. I have treated a few patients in their teens and all were happy to have it done for symptom improvement.

Open wound, wet scab?

Breast Lift

Member Response:

If the dressing is sticking to the wound, apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment or Vaseline to the wound first. Or, use a nonstick dressing like the inside of a Band-Aid.

Vermilion Border Scar

Cleft Lip and Palate Repair

Member Response:

Based on the picture, it healed well. If it bothers him when he is older and can make a decision on treatment, it can be revised.

Best Facial Procedures

Rhinoplasty

Member Response:

Without knowing your goals, I wouldn't trust anyone to give you advice on what to do. "Crowd sourcing" recommendations for surgery is not a substitute for a comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment plan. Spend some time discussing this with a board certified plastic surgeon.

What can I do

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

You need to see a local plastic surgeon as soon as possible.

Is there help for Lipedema

Thigh Lift

Member Response:

I've had a few patients with lipedema from Colorado come to see me in Chicago.

MOHS repair on nose

Skin Cancer Removal

Member Response:

Maybe a forehead flap or bilobed flap.

Explant over muscle uneven natural breasts

Breast Reconstruction

Member Response:

In most cases, saline implants can be deflated as an office procedure (or removed) and then you can wait 3 months to see how they will look. After that, fat grafting, breast lifts, or other treatments can be considered.

Can ruptured implant be left alone

Breast Implant Revision

Member Response:

Unless you are having a problem with them, there is no medical reason to remove a ruptured SALINE implant. Its no different than a non-ruptured implants, its just empty with a small hole in it. The is no evidence that it will lead to capsular contracture. For patient who want them removed, I usually do it awake with just a local anesthetic.

Breast explant and lift

Breast Lift

Member Response:

It is best that you contact your surgeon today about this and share your concerns to get appropriate care.

Necrotic tummy tuck

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

Not all wounds are pain free, some pain early on is common. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Explant procedure without capsule removal

Breast Implant Removal

Member Response:

Since you are not having any problems, unless they are ruptured, there is no need to remove the capsule. However, it is best to have a discussion with an experienced plastic surgeon. If you have textured Allergan implants, it may be worth discussing capsule removal.

Where to go for Congenital Symmastia?

Breast Reconstruction

Member Response:

I am in Chicago and have experience correcting congenital symmastia. I may be able to do it without hospital fees.

Realistic lift goals?

Breast Lift

Member Response:

From what you describe, your goals are appropriate, but an in-person assessment is the only way to find out. Fortunately, Dallas is home to many great plastic surgeons who can help you.

Regarding consent

Facelift

Member Response:

This may be better to discuss with the doctor who uses the form as its hard to comment washout knowing the full context of the situation.

tummy tuck and lift

Body Contouring

Member Response:

In most cases, a lower body lift ( a continuation of the tummy tuck) is done at the same time. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding in what you are having done?

Complications after tummy tuck

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

In most cases, a "dog ear" correction and liposuction of the flanks can be done awake with a local anesthetic which makes serious complications extremely rare.
