Reconstruction after radiation
Breast ReconstructionMember Response:
Radiation after mastectomy and breast reconstruction can be very damaging to the skin of the breast. It is often necessary to bring in healthy skin from the abdomen, thigh, or back to remove the radiation damaged tissue. This would convert to an autologous reconstruction and can offer excellent natural-looking results. I suggest seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the options best for you.
Post Bbl
Body ContouringMember Response:
After any fat transfer surgery, a certain amount will take and some will not survive. This amount fluctuates depending on the technique used, location, and amount of fat injected. Once the fat survives, it is permanent. As with fat in any other location, it will grow and shrink with weight fluctuations, but overall the volume should maintain over time. Hope this helps!
Capsular Contracture??
Breast AugmentationMember Response:
Dear kimblee, What you are described does sound like capsular contracture. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your implants. This is generally a clinical diagnosis. If caught early, you may try some prescription medications. However, you may need to consider revision surgery if the issues is causing malposition of the implant. Best of luck. Dr. Brian Pinsky
Does Having had a c-section affect a breast augmentation
Breast AugmentationMember Response:
Prior c-section should not affect your breast surgery in any way. I generally recommend waiting 6 months after breast feeding to allow the pregancy-related changes to resolve before performing any breast surgery. I recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options but breast augmentation should be an excellent choice.
Is 45 a good age for my first procedure?
FaceliftMember Response:
45 is definitely not too early to begin thinking about facial rejuvenation. There are so many options available now in both non-invasive and surgical treatment.ms. It’s best to see a plastic surgeon to discuss your desires and see what the best treatment plan would be. Good luck.
