Vote now on proposed amendments to ASPS/PSF Bylaws, Code of Ethics
ASPS Active and Life Active members are encouraged to vote on proposed amendments to the ASPS and PSF Bylaws relating to the Society's and Foundation's governance structures and a membership category. These amendments present a new opportunity for different stakeholders (state and regional societies, subspecialty societies and member sections) to provide input to the ASPS/PSF governing body and the Nominating Committee composition, and whether Life Active members need to maintain an active medical license for the duration of their membership. More details can be found on the Bylaws ballot.
Proposed amendments to the Society's Code of Ethics relate to non-ABMS board certification and expert testimony. More details can be found on the Code of Ethics Ballot.
The ASPS and PSF Boards of Directors approved the recommendations of the Bylaws Committee and the Ethics Committee and encourage all Active and Life Active members to approve the proposed amendments to the ASPS Bylaws and The PSF Bylaws, as well as the ASPS Code of Ethics by the Dec. 31 deadline.
