ASPS and ACS Joint Health Policy Scholarship

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) has partnered with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) to offer a scholarship to subsidize attendance and participation in the Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University. The application is now open for review.

Requirements include submission of a one-page essay discussing why the applicant wishes to receive the scholarship, how the scholarship will fill a gap in the applicant's training/experience and how the applicant plans to use the newly acquired knowledge or skills in his or her practice or community. A current NIH-style biosketch (five-page maximum) is also required. Applicants must be at least 30 years old but under 60 on the date that the completed application is filed.

The Executive Leadership course will take place June 2-7, 2025, in person in Wellesley, MA. The award is in the amount of $8,000, which is to be used toward the cost of tuition, travel, housing and subsistence during the course. An awardee will be selected by a committee consisting of members of ACS and ASPS. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection process by May 2025.

Applications are currently being accepted with a deadline of March 24, 2025. Eligible members are encouraged to apply.
