ASPS Education Network
The ASPS Education Network (ASPS EdNet) is a centralized, interactive educational website created by surgeons for surgeons. ASPS EdNet offers a lifetime of learning from residency to retirement. It is fully functional and a one-stop shop for all plastic surgery specialties.
Our new learning portal has been upgraded to:
- Advance your competence
- Enhance your practice performance
- Promote patient safety
- Improve patient outcomes
The new learning portal offers a way for you to manage your continued education utilizing ASPS Education Network resources. You can keep track of videos and courses you want to review, check grades, view course and test details, and more. Below are just a few content categories on the new ASPS Education Network.
Enhance Your Practice Podcast
ASPS Enhance Your Practice serves as an educational appetizer for plastic surgeons and office professionals looking for practice management information on the go. It covers next steps early in a career, financial planning, staffing, med spas, starting a private practice and much more. Podcast guest speakers are plastic surgeons, office professionals and industry experts.
Plastic Surgery Hot Seat Podcast
Plastic Surgery Hot Seat presents Plastic Surgeons: Views on Clinical Controversies. In this new clinical podcast featuring controversial topics or differing opinions on procedural paths, ASPS EdNet tackles tough topics in breast, pediatric, craniofacial, aesthetic, reconstructive and extremities.
Plastic Surgery SNIPS
Plastic Surgery SNIPS is a new kind of educational course, cutting directly to the information you need to know in a short, visual format. Developed directly from content performance deficiencies from the recent ABPS Continuous Certification Exam, these streamlined learning modules feature quick, easily digestible videos on important topics your peers struggled with last year.
ASPS Social Media Toolkit
The ASPS Social Media Toolkit was designed to assist plastic surgeons and their practices when building a social media presence. It will discuss creating a social media presence, establishing a brand and protecting yourself and your practice from misinformation and negative reviews.
PRS CME Journal Articles
For more than 70 years, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, has been the one consistently excellent reference for every specialist who uses plastic surgery techniques or works in conjunction with a plastic surgeon. Through ASPS EdNet, you can earn AMA PRA Category 1 and Patient Safety credit for reviewing select PRS articles.
Resident Education Curriculum
Thanks to a joint program between ACAPS and ASPS, the ASPS Education Network offers more than 100 self-assessment modules for practicing surgeons and residents alike. Each module provides journal article readings, presentations, videos, clinical case scenarios and tests that cover all aspects of the specialty. Program directors are welcome to enroll their residents in the ASPS Education Network REC and review transcripts to track progress.
