Protecting Patients from Unanticipated Medical Bills
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has been a vocal advocate for state and federal efforts to protect patients who receive unanticipated medical bills. We believe this can only be achieved through a comprehensive solution that safeguards patient access to necessary specialty care. Congress is actively working to advance federal policy on this issue, and ASPS has been working since 2018 to educate members of the House and Senate about the dynamics at play in this complicated issue.
