Plastic surgeons say Gen Xers aren't waiting until the "right age" to address facial aging. Many Gen Xers, at an average age of 53, are starting to see jowls, a fuller lower face and drooping upper eyelids – among other signs of aging – and they're taking action early to restore their youthful looks.
"So, one thing we consider is the incision that is in front or around the ear that needs to take into account that that skin, when we move it, will grow hair. So, we tend to place the scar for a facelift incision for men right in front of the tragus, which is the little part of the ear that pokes into the ear canal. Because if you make the incision behind that part of the tragus, with men, then that skin will start to grow hair."
