A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, reduces wrinkles, improves frown lines and places the eyebrows in a youthful position.

What words should I know about brow lift surgery?

Brow lift

A surgical procedure to correct a low-positioned or sagging brow. Brow lifting smooths the furrows across the forehead and between the brows.

Endoscope

A surgical camera sometimes used during brow lift procedures.

General anesthesia

Drugs and/or gases used during an operation to relieve pain and alter consciousness.

Hematoma

Blood pooling beneath the skin causing swelling or pain.

Intravenous sedation

Sedatives administered via an intravenous line to help you relax.

Local anesthesia

Medication injected directly into the incision during an operation to numb the area.

Skin resurfacing

Treatment to improve the texture, clarity and overall appearance of your skin.
