Case Book Content Review by Expert Faculty

This interactive, comprehensive course is designed to enhance testing skills for surgeons preparing to take the oral and written ABPS® examinations, and for those in practice desiring a concise overview of the plastic surgery principles and management problems.

The course will provide exposure to the format of the oral boards and you will have the opportunity to practice answering questions under pressure. Dual concurrent sessions will address topics specific to oral board preparation and written board preparation. Case scenarios will be presented providing a broad review of pertinent topics in clinical plastic surgery.

Topic modules include:

  • Breast/aesthetic
  • Hand/complex wounds/burns/scars
  • Craniofacial/head and neck
  • CPT® Coding
  • Ethical issues

In addition to presenting a comprehensive review of all areas of plastic surgery, an overview of what to expect on the exams is also provided.

Unique advantages of this course over other study programs include:

  • Dual concurrent tracks for customized learning focusing on either the oral or written exams as appropriate
  • Practice sessions that allow ample time to get the feel of answering questions while faculty provide immediate feedback
  • One-on-one discussion with faculty who will offer guidance on preparation of your oral board case books

Patient safety will be emphasized in each presentation. Specifically, avoidance and management of complications as well as general principles involved in assuring patient safety will be addressed.

We look forward to seeing you in Chicago and helping you prepare for the exams!
